It's been a few days since the 50th National Day of Malaysia (50 Tahun Merdeka). So missing those days before Merdeka. Definately those practice days for the Merdeka Parade at Shah Alam on 31st August.
Ok, and the results for the Parade for Marching Bands are:

1st: SMK LaSalle
2nd: SMK Raja Mahadi *yay us*
3rd: SMK Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah
*Still don't believe LaSalle won*
*Still don't believe Kwang Hua did not win*
Rehearsal (Day 1 - 29.08.07)
1st day of rehearsal was like 'woahh i'm so nervous' but the 1st round was great!
2nd round of rehearsal was so much fun! LaSalle was marching out with their drum beat and then we marched out after them. Who knew, without knowing and marching on our own (without drum beat) we were then marching beside them. Eng Beng (Quads) started playing their drum beat also (lol). Then suddenly Sue Fyenn(Side Drummer) started too. LaSalle had only 2 side drummers that day and they were playing against Sue Fyeen alone. Obviously Sue Fyenn was louder. Then suddenly all 3 of my school's side drummer started too. 4 versus 2? Obviously 4 wins, right? But even before that, 1 versus 2? Haha. BUT BUT BUT!! That drum beat that we played, had extra beats and, yeah, they got shocked. After that, 1 of my friend heard them saying that they wanted to throw bottle at us (lol) and we actually suggested "Why don't we start collecting empty bottles and pack them into a box and throw it at them when they throw at us? It'll be their fault for starting" Aiyo, but nevermind la, give them face a little bit.
Rehearsal (Day 2 - 30.08.07)
Let's see, 2nd day was not so much fun. Formations changed. Upperbrass went behind percussion and lowerbrass went behind upperbrass. Why? Because they said that upperbrass couldn't be heard. Man, it's difficult to see the sign given by Gope (DM). Well, usual la, I'm short. After the rehearsal, LaSalle waited for us to march out then only they marched out. Even when we were sitting at the road side eating our food, they came marching pass us WITH drum beat. Haha, give face la. Nothing much happened on the second day.
Merdeka ( 31.08.07 )
Everything went like usual. March pass the grand stand, played my solo, shouted at people to check line. After that we stand at where we were suppose to to wait for results and not forgetting to sing our Malaysia song. When SMK Kwang Hua passed the grand stand, we were all like "Oh crap, Kwang Hua is gonna win this time." But well, results were announced. Kwang Hua sad, LaSalle happy, Raja Mahadi half sad half happy. Sigh. LaSalle show off again after the other contigents went out of the field. They plays some drum beats (paddy) and their Drum Major threw the mace (not very high. Boooo. Gope so much better. *no offence*) But he might be able to throw higher IF and yes, IF he was out of the tent! Haha! Still, aiya, champions wanna show some stuffs. Raja Mahadians then marched out of the field with our marching beat. Contigents from all around were like "Are they the champions?" and sounded like they hoped so. Well, it ended like that and will remain like that for the year 2007.
P/S: Right now I'm so looking forward to joining next year's competition and win Merdeka Parade.
